Male Pedicure...sans polish?

Pedicures are quite beneficial for men and women. In some cases, a pedicure can be considered necessary maintenance to either prevent or correct any number of conditions that can affect your feet.
Pedicures can also be very relaxing and enjoyable. Many men have not had the opportunity to enjoy this service because they consider this something that only women do. Why would a man want 'pretty' feet?
Well, once you have experienced a professional pedicure, you will understand what I am trying to say here.
When it comes to polish, no man would want his toenails polished...or would he? It is true that this is not something that many men have considered before because it is simply a feminine thing. But times are changing folks. There are an increasing number of men who are opting for the polish these days, as reported by many nail salons(1). There are even a number of companies offering nail polish in shades that are more masculine and work well for men(2). Apparently this is in response to a growing number of male celebrities who wear their toenails polished(3).
Men who do wear polish on their toenails like the way it looks and feels, being quite an improvement over just plain, ordinary nails. And they find that they can use discretion when and where they show their feet.
But, in order for it to work for men, their feet and nails have to be in good condition first, or it will just look bad. A professional pedicure will properly prepare the nails for polish if a man chooses to wear it.
Like men wearing earrings a few years ago, this is an emerging trend that is gaining in popularity, mostly on the west coast and Florida, but spreading to the midwest as well(4).
And yes, there will always be the groups who take styles like this too far (crossdressers), but for the average guy who wants to take his look up a notch, wearing his toes polished is a great way to do it.
